this look: nashville kitchen envy

I became familiar with Pencil & Paper Company sometime last year, and i've been a fan ever since. Of course, i'm slightly biased because they're based in my beloved Nashville. But all biases aside, this company is very awesome! Pencil & Paper Co. is headed up by a husband and wife team, Benjamin & Genifer Sohr. And guys, these people are cool like really cool. This is a snippet from their website about their path to interior design (because who could say it better than them, their selves): "After nearly 20 years of brining large scale retail concepts to life for Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Oiliy, The Body Shop, Victoria's Secret, and having lived in San Fran, NYC, and Chicago -- the duo set their sights on bringing a more modern sensibility to Benjamin's hometown of Nashville, TN." And a more modern sensibility, they have brought! All of their projects to date have been show stoppers. What I love about their style is that it is contemporary without being too "modern." Its a look that I think multiple age groups and styles can appreciate. AKA my mom and I both like this kitchen pictured below, a lot. Their happy look seems to transcend age and style. Its all so fresh and fun. Turns out fun is timeless. See more pictures of this kitchen below and learn more about Pencil and Paper Company here. The photos below are from the immensely talented Leslee Mitchell (also nashville based.. told you nashville is overflowing with creativity). ANNDDD don't miss out on my take on this look at the bottom of the post... and happy hump day folks! in the words of the SKIM email this morning "we're halfway there!!"  xo
