I've been working on a new series for Spring; lots of works on paper and a some big canvas work. The winter was a break time for me and painting. With more going on at work and in life in general (aka having to watch Eloise, the new pup, like a hawk), painting seemed to repeatedly take the backseat. BUT with the oncoming Spring, I can't tell you how excited I am to start showing y'all some of the things i've been working on recently. I've missed painting so much-- I think painting actually contributes to my sanity. Painting for me is kinda like taking a long run-- I do my best thinking when I paint. It sounds cheesy but with a paintbrush in hand, everything else seems to sort of fade away. I also love that when I paint, I literally don't know what will happen. Each finished product , in a way, is a surprise to me, and I love it. It really is a great adventure..  {alright, no more cheesiness.. for this post, at least}

So in anticipation of some new work, I thought I'd revisit some of my old favorite pieces.  Thanks for all of yall's support in this and in all adventures. I'm so thankful to have a space for all my doodles to come to life.
