small spaces: peter dunham

House Beautiful is one of my favorite shelter publications. And of all their issues, the one I look forward to the most is the one dedicated to small spaces. I love seeing how talented designers & home owners transform "small" spaces into small spaces with BIG personality.  One of my favrorite features from last year's small space issue was that of Peter Dunham. I've been a huge fan of his fabric line for a while so its no surprise that his home would be spectacularly stylish.  Peter's style and textiles are heavily influenced by his global upbringing. He was raised in Europe where he spent time in France, Spain, and England. He later moved to LA but spends lots of time traveling to places like India, Turkey, and the Mediteranean.  Cultural influences from his travels are very prominent in his textile designs as well as in his "small space." Peter refers to his own designs as "vibrant, sophisticated, and charming."  I couldn't agree more.  Look below to see images from his LA home. He makes 550 square feet look goooooood.
